For the environment

Our company is daily committed to pursue a sustainable policy, supporting the SDGs - the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals for the planet. Water resources optimization, energy saving, abolition of the use of environmentally-damaging pesticides through the implementation of the integrated pest management technique. Each step we take aims to ensure a sustainable production, give a better future to new generations and play our part to achieve the 2030 Agenda Goals. Our farms are scattered throughout the country, whose particular conformation allows us to grow a wide variety of vegetables all year round. We grow our salads on over 700 hectares, both in the open field, as in the case of adult head salads like red radicchio or escarole, and in greenhouses, in the case of baby leaf salads such as rocket, valerianella or lettuce.

Production process

For the consumer

Our Cooperative has obtained various voluntary certifications relating to the raw material and the production sites of Borgoricco (PD) and Bellizzi (SA), ensuring traceability on the entire supply chain, integrated production and a pesticide residue of less than 30%. Our commitment to product safety and quality is evidenced by numerous analytical checks carried out by both our internal laboratory and other accredited external laboratories, guaranteeing at least 5,300 microbiological and chemical analyzes per year on all items and crops marketed by the Cooperative.

For the social good

We have always protected and guaranteed our collaborators, in the production plants and in our farms, aware that thanks to their commitment and professionalism we have been offering fresh, safe and quality products every day for over 25 years. To protect them, we have voluntarily adopted for year the GLOBALG.A.P. Certification System. GRAP, about our workers health and safety for a corporate responsible management process. We look to the future and focus on the new generations with the educational project "OrtoRomi per la Scuola " (OrtoRomi for School), an initiative designed to raise awareness among young students on the issues of healthy eating, fruits and vegetables conscious consumption and sustainability (environmental, economic and social), in line with the European Agenda 2020-2030.
